Visiting this website

This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you open a page, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser, operating system, the page you asked for and the time of the request. This is needed to deliver the page and to protect it against attacks. We do not combine this data with other data.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in a secure website that works. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, and we have a data processing agreement with Cloudflare that includes the EU standard contractual clauses.

Contact form and calculator report

When you send the contact form or ask for a calculator report by email, we process:

  • your name and email address
  • if you enter them: company, phone number, fleet size, number of sites, spare grid capacity, chargers today, timeline and your message
  • for calculator reports, the fleet figures you entered
  • the page you sent the form from and your browser type

We use this data only to answer you or send the report you asked for, and to follow up on that request. It is stored in a Cloudflare D1 database located in the EU. Your request and our confirmation are sent by email through Cloudflare Email Sending to our mailbox, which is hosted by Zoho Corporation B.V., Netherlands.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, steps you asked for before a possible contract, and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for general questions.

Spam protection

The forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from bots. Turnstile checks technical signals from your browser, such as your IP address and browser details. Cloudflare says it does not use this data for advertising or to track you across websites. Turnstile only runs on the pages with a form.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in keeping our forms free of spam.

Cookies and analytics

When you first visit, we ask which optional categories you allow: Analytics and Marketing. Until you say yes, no analytics code is loaded and no analytics cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page.

Necessary

We store your cookie choice in your browser’s local storage so we do not ask again on every page. This is needed to respect your choice and needs no consent (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG).

Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 (only with your consent)

If you allow analytics, we load Google Tag Manager, which in turn loads Google Analytics 4. Both are services of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Analytics tells us which pages are visited, how people move through the site, which device and browser they use and roughly where they are (country and city). It sets the cookies _ga and _ga_<ID>, which last up to two years. Google Analytics 4 does not store or log full IP addresses for EU visitors.

We use Google Consent Mode, so Google is told what you agreed to. We do not link analytics data with other Google services.

Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA. Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Legal basis: your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG. You can withdraw it at any time under “Cookie settings”; we then remove the analytics cookies. Withdrawal does not affect processing before it.

Marketing (only with your consent)

This category covers measuring ads through Google, for example which campaign brought a visit. We do not run any ads or advertising tags today. If we add them, they will only run if you allow Marketing, and we will update this policy first. Legal basis: your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG.

Fonts, images and links

Fonts and images are served from our own website. No connection to Google, image hosts or other third parties is made to show them. Links to other websites, for example LinkedIn or event organisers, only connect you to those sites when you click them.

How long we keep data

We delete enquiries and calculator requests when they are no longer needed to answer you, unless you become a customer or the law requires us to keep them longer, for example under commercial or tax law.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • get a copy of the data we hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • have it corrected (Art. 16) or deleted (Art. 17)
  • restrict how we use it (Art. 18)
  • receive it in a common format (Art. 20)
  • object to processing based on our legitimate interest (Art. 21)

To use any of these rights, email vineet@jump.ac. You can also complain to a data protection authority. Ours is the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (HBDI), Gustav-Stresemann-Ring 1, 65189 Wiesbaden.
